Welcoming the month of February with something fun, shall we? Oops didn't realise that it's mid February already, but, let's just roll with it. I'm coming for you today to share my trip in Turkey back in early February. If you are following my Instagram account (@keziamariska), you probably had seen a few of my Instagram stories sharing a little chunks of my 10-day trip in Turkey. I could have posted more photos, videos, or my silly boomerangs, but, really, I want to enjoy every single minute of my trip.
The question is now, why Turkey? After coming home safe and sound, a lot of my friends have been asking me the same question over and over again, "What drives you to travel to Turkey?". My answer for that is simple, "I don't know". To be honest, I never thought of going to Turkey at all. I was at the mall with my friend and she wanted to find a travel agent to help her with her Japan visa. We went to one travel agent to another and I came up with an idea of asking the available tour schedules around end January or early February. I saw a brochure and what caught my attention was Turkey! I didn't know why, but spontaneous things happened, you know? Long story short, I found the perfect schedule and passing the good news to my mom and sis. Woohoo, we are going to Turkey baby!
It was the longest flight in my entire life so far. That 12-hour direct flight was gruelling enough. Being cooped up on a plane, not in a business class (who can afford that?), got my spine super weary. Not just my spine, but my whole body. The inflight service and facilities was super nice, but it was not helping. Plus, y'all know, plane food is always unappetising. If you are one lucky human being who can fall asleep easily on a plane, I mean everywhere, congratulations! I'm jealous of you, because I can't. But that brutal 12-hour was totally paid off. If you are wondering, it's Turkish Airlines who brought me all the way from Jakarta to the beautiful country of Turkey. Let's begin the story!
